Our Little Rockers Program

The Animal Adventures in Music (AAM) program is a structured 10-level curriculum created specifically for young beginners ages 3–6. Each level features its own themed workbook, friendly animal character, and a focus on one instrument.

Table Time

Table Time is the focused part of our toddler music lessons in Aurora/Centennial, where students work one-on-one with their instructor using the AAM workbook, flashcards, and simple writing activities. Concepts like note recognition, counting, and early theory are introduced through stories and short, engaging tasks that are easy for young learners to understand.

Because AAM builds skills gradually, Table Time blends new concepts with quick review moments that reinforce mastery and keep students feeling confident. Parent summaries in each homework chapter make it simple for families to support learning at home without needing any musical background.

Rug Time

Rug Time brings energy and movement into our Aurora/Centennial toddler music lessons. Using the AAM music-staff rug and rhythm games, students hop to notes, clap patterns, and act out musical ideas with animal-themed props. This helps them connect what they see in the workbook to what they feel in their bodies–strengthening beat, listening skills, and early sight-reading.

The activities are intentionally fun and repeatable, which boosts retention and keeps toddlers eager to participate. Every game can be adjusted to match a child’s pace, ensuring each student experiences progress and success each week.

Stage Time

Stage Time introduces children to real instruments featured in their level’s book. Students see, hear, and sometimes try simplified playing techniques, linking the concepts they learned at the table and on the rug to actual sounds.

This part of the lesson also offers gentle, low-pressure performance practice. Whether it’s a simple rhythm, call-and-response, or a short “show and tell” moment, students build stage presence early. The result is a smooth, confident transition into private lessons later on.

What to Expect in Aurora & Centennial Toddler Music Lessons

Inside our studios, young musicians stay engaged, confident, and proud of their progress. A typical toddler music class includes:

  • Table Time learning with workbooks, flashcards, and visual aids

  • Rug Time rhythm games on the Animal Adventures music-staff rug

  • Stage Time hands-on instrument exploration

  • Fun storytelling and character-based learning

  • Stickers, medals, and motivational rewards

Each child learns at a pace that feels comfortable for them. Our mission is to inspire steady progress, curiosity, and a positive relationship with music.

SUCCESS STORY

Growing Together Through Music

“As a dad, I couldn’t be happier with our experience in the Little Rockers program. My son has had an absolute blast each week, and it’s been amazing to watch how much he’s grown. His confidence has skyrocketed, his speech and listening skills have improved, and he’s learning how to follow directions and engage with others, all while having fun and thinking he’s just playing.

The music foundation he’s building is incredible for his age. He’s already comfortable with rhythm, basic musical concepts, and instruments, and you can tell the program is intentionally designed to support early learning. We’re so excited to see him continue his journey and transition into one-on-one lessons as he gets older. Little Rockers has been the perfect start to his musical path.”

Frequently Asked Questions

No. Every chapter includes simple parent summaries that explain what the student learned and how to help at home. Families can support their child’s learning without needing any prior music knowledge.

Tuition includes one free book, a tote bag, and a spinning medal for each level the child completes. Students also have access to flashcards, stickers, and AAM teaching tools used during lessons.

Lessons follow the same structure as other Rock The Stages private lessons and are available in 30-, 45-, or 60-minute weekly sessions, depending on location and scheduling.

AAM fits under the same structure as private lessons, meaning children receive one-on-one attention without the complexities of group scheduling, fluctuating enrollment, or multi-age classroom management.

Not at all. AAM is designed for total beginners. Children are introduced to instruments gradually during Stage Time, where they see, hear, and explore the instrument featured in their level’s book.

After completing the full program (typically 1–2 years), students transition smoothly into private vocal or instrumental lessons with a strong foundation in rhythm, symbols, and early music reading.
